2022年度は、PlumX（オルトメトリクス）データ収集システムの開発と導入、運用を開始した。当初、研究分担者の所属組織内でデータ収集を行う計画であったが、研究代表者の所属組織でもPlumXが利用可能になったため、研究代表者の研究室内にデータ収集用PCを設置してデータ収集環境を構築した。その結果、開発期間を短縮することが出来たため、予定よりも早いタイミングでデータ収集を開始した。しかし、利用しているサービスのAPIに不具合があってエラーが発生し、不正値が連続出力される問題があることが分かった。そこで、サービス提供元に問い合わせをして情報提供し、不具合が修正されたため、現在は不正値が発生しない状況になっている。エラーで出力されてしまった不正値の修正は手作業で行う必要があったため、修正にはかなりの時間を要した。改めて、不正値の含まれないクリーンなデータを収集することも検討しているこのデータ収集に関して「第11回 大学情報・機関調査研究集会（会場：専修大学）」にて研究発表「オルトメトリクスデータ収集ツールの開発とデータ分析の試行」を行い、最初期におけるデータの分析結果を報告した。その後もデータの蓄積を続けており、現在は合計で10万件以上の論文のオルトメトリクスデータを毎週収集し、週次での変化を追跡することが出来るようになっている。これに加えて、各論文に紐付いた属性情報と組み合わせた分析が行えるようになる見込みである。
