项目摘要

超高齢社会のわが国は介護予防が重要な施策の一つであり、高齢者は身体的、知的、社会的に活動的な生活を送り心身の機能を維持していくことが望まれる。しかし、2020年に世界的に新型コロナウイルスが感染拡大して以降、感染予防対策から人が密に接触する空間、場所を避けるなどこれまでとは異なる生活様式に転じた。身体活動は世界的にCOVID-19の感染対策による影響を受け、健康状態への影響があると考えられる。2021年以降も感染拡大は収束しなかったものの、わが国においては高齢者を中心にワクチン接種が進むなど、状況が変化しているため、今後も身体活動を含む活動の変化と健康状態への長期的影響を把握する必要がある。介護予防に資する活動として、身体活動の他にも認知的負荷が高い知的活動や人と交流する社会的活動が推奨されているが、これらの経時変化についての報告はなく、また、新規要介護発生への影響についても未だ明らかになっていない。介護予防に資する高齢者の活動や健康状態への長期的な影響が考えられるため、本研究はコロナ禍における高齢者の身体・知的・社会活動の変化を調べ、活動の変化とフレイルおよび新規要介護認定の発生との関連を検討することを目的とする。縦断的観察研究により、2019年度に高齢者機能健診を受診し、2019年12月から2021年にかけて活動記録手帳を使用している75歳以上高齢者481名に対して追跡調査を実施し、活動の経時変化のパターンとフレイル、新規要介護認定発生との関連を検討する。2022年度は活動記録手帳のデータクリーニング、ならびに高齢者機能健診を通じたデータ収集を行い、進行中である。
