経口糖負荷試験において、境界型と判定された人のデータ集積、概要の把握に努めた。インスリン抵抗性の強い群、インスリン初期分泌の低い群、インスリン抵抗性が強くかつインスリン初期分泌の低い群に分類して、合併症の進行や、年度ごとの血糖関連の指標の予後を解析した。詳細の解析や、統計分析にまでは至っていないが、インスリン抵抗性の強さが、より合併症の進行度合いに影響していることが示唆された。合併症として最も多く見られたものが脂肪肝であった。脂肪肝においては、当施設ではアルコール摂取量が多い男性がおおく、その影響を取り除き切れておらず、アルコール量を考慮した解析が今後の課題となっている所である。血糖指標の経年的な変化についてはまだ十分追い切れておらず、インスリン初期分泌と経年的な血糖関連指標の予後について、次年度以降は詳細に解析していく予定である。インスリン抵抗性の強い群は、当施設では、肥満男性が通常の検診施設より多いという性質であり、ある程度の限界は見られるが、るい痩の強く、筋肉量の不足した群においてもみられていた。体組成、筋肉量や脂肪量の分布に関しても詳細な解析を行う予定である。
