本研究は、将来の大規模追跡調査を計画する為の研究として、運輸業に勤務する約1000人の労働者を対象に、9年間の縦断的調査を実施し、健康診断の各種検査値や血液検査などの結果とストレスチェックの結果が業務中の事故発生に与える影響を検討することを目的としている。また、健康状態と事故発生の因果関係が判明した際には、高リスク者に対してどのような医療的介入がより有効であるかも検証していく。対象企業の選定は済んでおり、ストレスチェックを実施した2016年度から2021年度までの健康診断の各種検査値のデータおよびストレスチェックの結果の整理を行い、データベース化までは終了している。この追跡期間中の事故発生状況について調べ、データベース化したものと結合し、追跡した対象者に関して労働環境の因子を含めて、事故発生状況との関連を調査中である。収集したデータから健康状態と事故発生との因果関係があるかどうかを見極め、事故を起こしやすいとされる高リスク者のピックアップへとつなげていきたい。また、高リスク者のピックアップが可能となった場合、どのような介入方法を行えば、実際の事故防止につながるかも検証も行っていきたいと考えている。高リスク者の選定、医療的介入方法の確立が可能となれば、その適応は運輸業だけでなく、労働災害の多い建設業や製造業などの一つのミスで大きな事故につながりやすい業種にも広がり、将来的な無事故化へとつなげていきたい。
