本研究の目的は、二次救急医療機関の救急外来に従事する看護師のコンピテンシー評価指標を開発することである。二次救急医療機関は、わが国の救急医療の重要な役割を担い、24時間365日、地域で発生する救急患者への初期診療を行い、必要に応じて入院治療を行っているが、当番日は約70％の病院で1人の医師が担当しているなど、医師の処遇を含めた救急医療体制の改善が急務となっている。二次救急医療機関の診療体制を充実させる方略のひとつとして、救急外来看護師に必要なコンピテンシーを明らかにした能力育成が重要と考え、本研究に着手した。本研究は、質的・量的アプローチによる順次的研究デザインとし、研究期間内に2段階の研究を実施する予定である。令和4年度は、第1研究となる二次救急外来を担当する看護師に必要なコンピテンシー項目の抽出を目的とした。医中誌Webとハンドサーチにより、二次救急外来の看護師の実践を記述した国内文献を検索した。結果、約50文献を収集した。現在、該当文献を精読し、内容分析手法を用いて、実践内容をコード化し、コンピテンシー項目を分析・抽出中である。また、二次救急外来看護師のコンピテンシー項目を抽出するにあたり、米国の救急外来看護師の役割や実践を参考資料とするために「Emergency Nursing core curriculum 第7版」を購読中である。
