英文摘要
Tom-Martin & Company Ltd and Almath Crucibles Ltd (UK based SMEs) and the University of Nottingham are focused on developing and commercialising a technology for recovery of titanium metals from industrial wastes. Innovate UK funding will enable us to develop a novel integrated system with the application of ceramics to efficiently recover and upgrade titanium wastes. The business opportunity for our technology is huge both in the UK and globally. Our innovation can increase the value of the recovered metal by over 500%, providing operators with a reliable technology for management/recycling of metal wastes. Adoption of our technology in the engineering sectors (aerospace, automotive, packaging and high technology engineering, medical devices) in the UK and globally can create value whilst creating a safer environment by reducing metal-wastes and CO2 emissions. This will also lead to growth of our companies and UK economy through domestic sales and export opportunities.
