项目摘要

“On Segregation Patterns in Cities”●本論文に関しては、主にminor revisionを行った。●前々年度までに得られていた分析（一都市内におけるエスニシティの差異に応じたセグリゲーション（居住の住み分け）の発生メカニズムを、経済学理論の観点から示した。また、安定均衡において実現されうる理論上の居住パターンが、現実に散見される居住パターンの事例に適合的であるという結果を導いた。）、ならびに前年度における改訂（若干の仮定の変更の下でも、数値シミュレーションによって解析的な結果と類似した結果となることを示した。）に加え、より本研究に関連する先行文献の提示することで、議論のサポート等を行った。“Linguistic Distance and Economic Development: Cost of Accessing the Domestic and International Centers”今年度は、前年度までに得られた結果（一人あたりGDPが比較的高い水準にある国々については、国際言語距離指標の値が小さいほど、経済水準と正の相関があること、および、一人あたりGDPが低水準にある国々に関しては、国際言語距離指数と経済水準の間に有意な負の関係は見出せなかったが、国内言語距離指数が小さいほど、経済水準に対する負の影響が強いこと、が実証的に簡単な手法によって示された。）を検証し、実証的頑健性を示した。本研究の場合、空間計量モデルであるSpatial Durbin Model(SDM)の利用を検討するが、説明変数と説明変数の空間ラグ項との間に重い多重共線性があったため、SDMに基づく分析をあきらめた。次善の策として、他の空間計量モデルを用いたが、得られた実証結果から得られた社会科学的含意は、前年度の結果と大きく変わらなかった。
