项目摘要

農業経済学において、「農地と生産性」に関する計量経済分析は膨大な蓄積がある。多くは集計データや農家個票データを用いた研究であり、農家の行動原理は経営全体の利潤最大化であることを前提としている。しかし、我が国の一般的な農地利用の特性である、「分散錯圃」に関して十分に考慮されているとは言い難い。つまり、農家は圃場ごとの土壌や立地特性を考慮した上で、圃場一枚ごとに管理を行っていることは十分に考慮されておらず、家計内の資源配分について実証的に解明はなされていない。農業経営学においては、圃場別の管理に関する分析はみられるが、数戸の農家に着目したものである。近年のミクロ計量経済学の主流といえる、大量のミクロデータを用いた研究はわが国においては皆無と言えよう。そこで、本研究では、圃場別のミクロデータセットを独自に構築することにより、農家単位では見えない、圃場別の経営について農家の行動を明らかにすることが目的である。使用データは、企業データ、独自のアンケート調査、及び航空写真等であり、これらをGISを用いて地理的に意味をもつ圃場別パネルデータセットとして構築した。こうした手法の開発は、地域に蓄積されながらも、十分に活用されてこなかった情報の集約を可能とし、現場の実際的な課題解決や、関係機関の業務にも寄与し得る。例えば、視覚的に情報を一括共有することは、地域全体の生産性向上のための課題解決や、合意形成の際に寄与し得るであろう。また、未活用のデータの統合により、製糖工場の生産量予測はより精緻なものになりうる。本研究の対象作物はさとうきびであるが、圃場単位のデータ処理上の課題解決の方法は、他作物・他地域への汎用性をもつものである。尚、データセット構築には膨大な時間を費やしたため、現在、計量分析の結果が待たれるとこである。
