项目摘要

本年度の研究実績として、各種のクローズドな研究会・勉強会で碑文や漢籍、フランス語文献の講読をしたほか、第93回東南アジア学会研究大会で「アンコールにおける個人崇拝の展開と地方統治」という題で報告を行なった。同報告では、前年度より着手してきた10世紀後半以降の人物像の造立と個人崇拝の進展と地方政治勢力の台頭に関する研究を、アンコールにおける中心―周縁関係の一回路として再考するものである。また、これまで長らく研究が途絶していたチャンパー刻文の研究状況と歴史上の重要刻文の内容紹介に関する論文を執筆した。さらに、①前年度から調査してきた古代カンボジアの地方拠点（プノン・バヤン、バンテアイ・プレアウなど）と中央権力の関係の考察を中心としたアンコール時代の中心―周縁関係に関する研究や、②漢籍・刻文史料を用いた前近代東南アジアの交易ネットワークに関する知見を、考古学者の田畑幸嗣氏との共同研究により貿易／在地陶磁器研究と接続する試み、③彫刻作品と刻文史料の記載を紐づけることで、寺院内の崇拝対象物とそれを寄進した個人の権威づけについての研究、④東南アジア大陸部の刻文史料の最新の研究状況の整理など、多方面で企画が進行中であり、これらの成果が印刷中のものを含め2016年度中には公開される予定である。上記研究を通して、これまで停滞していた、文字史料を用いた前近代東南アジア史研究を前進させることができたと同時に、隣接他分野の研究者との協働ネットワークを構築することができ、同研究の今度のさらなる発展の土台ができたと考えている。
