明清時代の中国における中央政治と地方社会は、いかなる原理の下で、どのようなメカニズムで運営されていたのか。又、明から清にかけて、いかなる変化があったのであろうか。そして、当時の人々が政治にたずさわり、社会を運営していく中で保持されていた価値観や理念、つまり秩序意識とはどの様なものであったのだろうか。申請者はこれまで、主に起居注、実録や文集などの史料を利用し、万暦二十年代初頭までの政治過程を明らかにしてきた。今年度、主に地方社会について、以下のような研究を行ってきた。地方政治や地方社会の運営は、当該地域に住む人々の行動によって形成されていた。それでは、人々はどの様な行動原理・パターンを持ち、当時の地方政治や社会の問題を、どの様に認識していたのだろうか。また、彼等の行動を支えていた価値観や理念は、現実の中央政治との間にどう関係してくるのだろうか。この問題を解明するために、申請書は江南地域の太倉州を中心にして、地方社会に関する史料を整理し分析してきた。主な業績は以下の二つの面がある。一つは、申請者は日本の各図書館、及び中国の上海、南京、蘇州、太倉の図書館や博物館などを訪ね、地方史料を再度に調査し集めてきた。そして、「明清時代の太倉地方史料知見録」の基礎作業として、「明清時代の太倉地方誌」などの論文を発表した。同時に、日本の各地方の資料館を訪ね、日本の地方史資料の保存方法や現状について考察し、「日本古文書の整理と保存現状」などの論文を作成した。その二、一部分の解読した史料に基ついて、文人結社活動を中心にして、地方社会の運営方式を分析してみた。そして、「清初における文社活動展開の一側面――江南太倉州を中心に」という論文に纏め発表した。当初の目標まで達成するには、さらなる努力する必要と実感しているが、史料の収集と整理、及び論文の作成という二つの面より、研究を積んできた。

The activities of the literary society in the early Qing Dynasty were held-- the exhibition table of the Jiangnan Taiyuan Prefecture Center. At the beginning, I made great efforts to make sure that it was necessary to collect historical materials, to make a second interview, and to study actively.
