Oxford Product Design Limited, a leading UK design agency, are collaborating with Racer Technology Pte Ltd, a leading Singaporean medical device contract manufacturer to design, develop, and test a first-of-a-kind combined blood sample extraction and collection device to address emerging distributed healthcare models.The Life Sciences Vision published by the UK Government in July 2021 outlines seven critical health care missions. One is 'enabling early diagnosis and treatments', a focus that is reflected in the global marketplace with a shift towards preventative healthcare, point-of-care diagnostics and remote patient monitoring. These areas all predict huge growth over the next 5-10 years.There is huge potential to disrupt the market if assuring liquid blood sample quality at home can be achieved in a user-friendly and cost-effective manner.
