英文摘要
We have so far received and analyzed longitudinal samples collected for RNA isolation from 84 adult patients; and we have received samples from 17 MIS-C patients.
Serum samples from mainly adult patients from Brescia 567, Monza 77 and Pavia: 43 have been analyzed for IL-18, IL-18BP and CXCL-9 and other inflammatory markers released from innate and adaptive immune cells and/or surrounding tissues. Analyses of the data are currently ongoing.
1. The longitudinal samples will allow us to reconstruct profiles throughout the course of the disease and will provide diagnostic markers that may help to predict outcome.
2. Comparison of gene expression data from blood cells and protein concentrations in the blood will allow to reconstruct the sources of Type-I IFNs and other proinflammatory cytokines activated by the inflammasome.
