Our innovative medical device for the treatment of Phantom Limb Pain allows patients to carry out neurorehabilitation therapy in their own home, at a time to suit them, without the need for visits to a hospital or clinic. We are about to embark on a clinical study to prove the efficacy of the device.We have identified an additional requirement; the ability to automatically push usage and other data from the device to the cloud, for access by healthcare professionals through a web portal, allowing them to remotely monitor their patients' progress and results, and to manage their treatment plan.The early work has been done to define this requirement; this grant would be used to fund the build and implementation, allowing us to increase our competitive advantage on launch and to offer a service to the public and private healthcare sectors which satisfies their current and future requirements for remote monitoring and management of patients. This implementation would be the base for future innovations, as the technology behind the device is transferable across many rehabilitation areas.
