Economic Impact Analysis: A Pocket-Sized Rapid, Multiplex PCR Diagnostic for Infection Testing for Self-Directed Healthcare

LabReady is developing the world's first pocket-sized, rapid, multiplex qPCR test that allow GPs, nurses, A&E, and even patients to simultaneously diagnose five different treatable infections within 30 minutes and without millions of pounds of expensive equipment, skilled technicians, and lab delays. This proposed project aims to develop the economics analysis technical model and report of how a first-of-its-kind pocket sized and rapid, multiplex qPCR diagnostic technology like MyLabReady impacts target patient populations along a self-directed healthcare pathway. As a critical milestone of the commercialization process of deploying this innovative and much needed technology into a market like the English health and social care system, this project will conduct a study into the underlying technology's cost-effectiveness and impact, including an economic model, economic costs, and outcomes cost with an appropriate comparator.
