新BATSEED(**新B**IOMASS**A**节点**T**技术和**S**ILICON**E**高**E**能量**D**密度**)**项目将为下一代汽车电动汽车电池和负极材料带来两项创新开发,从而显著提高电动汽车续航里程和快速充电的能量密度。
The New BATSEED (**New B**iomass **A**node **T**echnology and **S**ilicon **E**lectrodes with high **E**nergy **D**ensity**)** project will deliver two innovative developments for the next generation of automotive EV battery cells and anode materials, resulting in a significant boost in energy density for increased EV driving range and for fast charge. Nexeon will adopt a new biomass raw material into its silicon anode technology and also work with Britishvolt, using its computer-aided cell design tools, on higher energy density cells with high silicon content electrodes. The project will utilise the cell assembly capabilities at Coventry University for the fabrication of 21700 demonstration cells to test and validate the new cell designs. These tasks will be supported by UCL's Electrochemical Innovation Lab who will conduct analysis of electrode structures and cycled cells to provide a feedback loop to further improve the initial designs.
