英文摘要
Poor mental health is now the primary reason for workplace absence, with 70m lost work days, and a cost to UK businesses of at least £45 bn according to Deloitte. Human talent is the differentiator between competitors, but organisations face considerable challenges in the great resignation, the increasing expectations of Millenials and Gen Z, and a war for talent.Providing wellbeing support is no longer optional, and companies are spending billions of pounds a year on wellbeing. But when we ask businesses about the effectiveness of their wellbeing programmes, overwhelmingly, the answer is: " well we just don't know."Only 15% of organisations even attempt to calculate the financial return on their wellbeing spend. Why? Because whilst the economic link between wellbeing and business performance is starting to be recognised, companies lack the understanding of how to effectively measure and analyse outcomes.Corus is a B2B SaaS platform (software as a service) that sets the standard for consistently demonstrating the cultural, health and economic outcomes of any given wellbeing programme. Crucially, Corus is also able to provide an academically-validated figure for the financial return that the organisation.Corus promotes investment in preventative services with psychosocial benefits such as mental health first aid training, awareness campaigns, health seminars and screening (Deloitte, 2020), vastly more cost effective than treating the impact of mental ill health in a reactive way.Corus is not another wellbeing platform. Corus is an analytics and reporting platform that helps people managers understand which wellbeing initiatives are working or not, and crucially, the financial impact they are having on the company. Whilst the rest of the market are trying to tackle the mental health crisis by adding more services into the mix, we measure those already in play. We stand alone as a B2B SaaS platform that sets the standard for consistently measuring and reporting on wellbeing programmes. Think Google Analytics for wellbeing. This Innovate funding will allow us to rigorously develop the evidence base for wellbeing investment, and integrate that evidence and measurement methodologies into our existing digital platform. Our vision for Corus is to provide actionable wellbeing intelligence that stimulates wellbeing investment and maximises employee engagement and productivity, positively impacting organisations and the wider economy.
