英文摘要
**Bad Girl Barre/Dr Jill Rose Jacobs** was the recent recipient of the NI Arts Creative Industries Seed fund. The Project: the Jacobs Method of Notation: embodiment of notation using Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and VR produced a ground-breaking digital application. Jill's Creative Catalyst funding will further the system towards its completion.Prior to entering into doctoral research at Queen's University, Belfast, Jill was a professor in the department of performing arts professions at New York University; also, a Group Fitness Instructor for a leading corporation where she specialized in Barre programming. Her research is inspired by the physiological improvements observed in her students as a result of combining aspects of dance and fitness, and its effects on the brain. Earlier, Jill was also a professional ballet and musical theatre dancer, dance captain and choreographer. Jill's extensive experience in dance lead her to create an original notation system for recording and creating choreography. The NI Arts funding provided collaborations producing a graphical user interface featuring an animated avatar (MoCap) that responds to her notation method. The project has the potential to impact dance, fitness, and health sectors.
