Caravanserai Brighton Fringe will be a brand new, outdoor performance hub venue for Brighton Fringe, England's largest annual arts festival. It will be a welcoming, free-to-enter site, with two indoor theatres, two outdoor stages, bars and food stalls, offering both affordable and free performances and workshops for the whole community throughout the festival period (5 May-4 June 2023). It will also be a significant driver for the local economy, attracting thousands of visitors to the city, positively impacting businesses and the community.As an open-access arts festival, Brighton Fringe has never directly run its own venue before, but the additional challenges for the creative community as a result of the Covid pandemic have necessitated a change to the business model. The team behind Caravanserai have been entertaining people for 10 years at Camp Bestival and we are delighted that they will be sharing some of their magic with us here in Brighton.The new venue is a gateway to another world, with upcycled circus and fairground rides and paraphernalia, old bicycles and repurposed caravans. Every nook and cranny is unique and will be specially tailored to Brighton Fringe. We look forward to welcoming you to join us.
