**Public description**The purpose of this solution is to adequately compact flexible packaging at household level to reduce storage space and to promote ease of transportation to a collection or deposit point while retaining the recyclability of the packaging items.For safety and to enable future recycling of the deposited material the mechanical treatment of the flexible packaging does not involve any heating or cutting.Due to the variance in the types of waste collections in the UK and across Europe different versions of the solutions will be available to suit the waste collection operators and the consumers.
