10% of global emissions is from the apparel industry, where 50% of all purchased apparel are returned due to incorrect size or fit. 60% of all returned apparel are sent to landfills as it is cheaper than reverse logistics costs. UK retailers lose £7 billion annually on the overall costs of returns. The likes of Next, Tu, H&M, Zara, Uniqlo - have recently started charging £3.50 shipping and £2.95 per returned item.BestYears is a data-driven solution for UK customers and retailers that utilises multiple sizing charts and product databases, along with a user's body measurement, to generate the most accurate size recommendations. Our mission is to significantly reduce emissions and landfills from the UK apparel industry, by decreasing the number of returns from incorrect sizing or fit, through our sizing recommendation tool.
