This project aims to prove the technical feasibility of a potentially disruptive technology that can reduce the LevelisedCost of Energy (LCOE) for the widely-available silicon based photovoltaic (PV) modules by >20%. Navatec has developeda solution-based nanostructured hybrid tandem technology that is printed on top of a silicon solar cell and boosts themodule efficiency by >3% (absolute value), producing more electricity from the same unit area.
