Alphasense develops and manufactures gas sensors for industrial safety and environmental airquality monitoring. Alphasense does not manufacture gas monitoring or air quality systems,but only sells the sensors/ sensor systems to gas detection manufacturers worldwide. we aregetting a rapidly increasing number of our customers requesting the ability to also monitorparticulates/ aerosols due to diesel engines and similar pollution sources. alphasense hasalready commissioned two reports on the technical feasibility of the required sensor systemsto monitor PM10 and PM2.5 particulates.Before we commit our human and financial resources to this new technology, we must be surethat tthis is sensible by reviewing:1 IP ownership by studying relevant patents and considering them in light of our technologyreports2 Competition and where the competition will be in 3-5 years3 Market requirements: although customers say they want this, how many do they want?Finally, a plan must be generated that incorporates the conclusions from the above reports/ studies.
