Eco-Energy (NI) Ltd is undertaking a Proof of Market project to assess the commercialviability of an innovative domestic ventilation system. The Eco-Energy Smart-Vent systemwill provide occupants with excellent indoor air quality and reduce the risk of condensationand building structure decay caused by energy efficiency retrofit interventions such asimproved airtightness levels and fitting insulation. The Smart-Vent system aims to minimisedisruption to occupants during installation and be installed in an existing house in less than aday. The system compensates for different levels of airtightness and windows can be openedwithout affecting the energy efficiency of the system. Smart-Vent is suitable for all types ofhouses and specialised onsite installers and commissioning engineers will not be required.
