Automated Spend Control is a new type of transaction processing technology that checks what is being purchased before the transaction can be completed. It will only authorise appropriate purchases from approved suppliers; inappropriate or non-financially compliant purchases will be declined. The technology can be applied to direct and indirect spend. It will provide real time validation that every purchase involves an authorised person purchasing appropriate goods and services from approved suppliers.
