Get Socialite Ltd (Socialite) has identified and developed a novel software driven concept ofinforming and alerting users of upcoming “events” where the users have expressed or shownan interest due to their download behavior. Socialite is unique in its approach to “events”,which can include product releases, sports fixtures, film release dates, etc., and has enjoyedsuccess following product release. It currently has a world-wide audience (10,000 users as atSeptember 2014 – 9,000 in the last five months) registered and benefiting from personallyrelative information. The solution cuts horizontally across a multitude of vertical sectors toensure users are continually amazed by the volume and relevancy of the service.In order to accelerate market growth Socialite needs to look to the technological future of itsdelivery mechanisms with performance, automation and system intelligence being the key to awider audience. The projects aim is to prove a next generation concept through investigationand demonstration.The key objectives and outputs are:1) an intuitive and intelligent event notification platform which will analyse users’ interestsand behaviour and link these to personalised recommendations for upcoming events;2) a web interface with Socialite’s current product, which will allow businesses to accessselected data on users who are following them;3)a demonstrator deployment to a focus group.This project is aiming to provide unique recommendations for each user across a wide rangeof verticals and this is a pragmatic approach at attempting a one size fits all scalable solution.Amongst the potential benefits/outcomes of the project would be:1) a step towards the growing problem of “information overload” due to excessive availabilityof content;2) the broadening of a user’s interest outlook;3) businesses could benefit from more cost effective marketing; and4) a significant and effective time saver for users.
