description of your proposal provided. Provision of this description is mandatory.An investigation into the technical feasibility of a zero-knowledge platform for secure dataand file sharing.The platform will enable local groups of users to share information without the need for a webservice or a cloud-hosted master copy of the data, thus avoiding many of the privacy andsecurity issues currently facing existing cloud-based file sharing systems.The platform will enable groups of users in the same physical location to establish pop-upnetworks of smartphones and tablets using the devices’ own WIFI and Bluetooth forcommunication.Where devices are not in direct range of each other, the platform will intelligently utiliseintermediate devices to relay data between senders and recipients.The storage of and access to information within the group will be controlled by the userconfigurable settings according to an innovative new model.Shared data will be encrypted with innovative group focussed encryption techniques.The platform will exposed to other systems and mobile Apps via an API.The specific aims of this Proof of Concept project are to:• formulate the requirements for the platform• design a model for the parameterisation and interaction of the various features to beoffered by the platform• design and build a basic prototype to demonstrate core features of the platform• investigate the current related intellectual property and define a strategyThe commercial applications of such a platform are potentially broad ranging from businesscollaborative tools, to offline file sharing, to kids’ local gaming groups.
