The microphone & amplification/playback system has suffered from unwanted noise issuessince its invention. These range from popping noises created by vocal plosives fromconsonants such as “P” & “B”, to mechanically-induced noise emanating from 2 separatesources: manual handling (MH) & wind buffeting (WB). These problems occur in a range ofsettings, from the very quiet, controlled environment of a recording studio to live recordingoutside where the uncertainty of Mother Nature prevails.As video technologies have advanced there has been an increased market for improvedresolution of accompanying audio signal, therefore there is a need to remove unwanted noiseat source.
