Following our successful Proof of Concept project, we are progressing to Development of aPrototype. This is for an RFID Smart card reader which can easily installed in the back of theFlipPad. The FlipPad is a medical grade case for the iPad Air which has been developed inUK London Hospitals. FutureNova owns an Apple "Made for iPad" Developer licence andintends to sell this product as a standard Apple accessory. The RFID Smart card reader willbe capable of reading NHS Smart cards which is standard for NHS clinician identity. Sinceour original design work, we have identified other healthcare markets in France and the USAwho also use Smart cards to identify their staff. We intend to develop an RFID Smart cardreader that is adaptable for each country and supply a method managing all the accessorydevices using an Appstore.Our Proof of Concept project helped to attract £150,000 in angel investment which thenattracted a further £350,000 investment in FutureNova. It has paved the way for institutionalinvestment next year.
