项目摘要
This project aims to reduce the uncertainty and risk associated with the coal seam gas industry – control water production and optimisation of methane production. Understanding multi-physics in coal beds is necessary to address this challenge. This project will explore two-phase flow in fractures, sorption and diffusion mechanisms, stress dependency, and the complex coupling of these processes in coal beds. This is expected to enhance knowledge of fluid transport in coal beds and improve the capacity to safely and efficiently exploit this resource.
