Through a combination of inward and outward secondments, the OxBETS (Oxford-Business Engagement Through Secondments) grant will enhance exploitation of Oxford's extensive EPSRC-funded portfolio. It will fund practical routes through which: (i) cutting-edge research can be used to tackle business and industry problems, or (ii) fundamental research outputs can be developed to take them nearer to (potential) application. The OxBETS programme will form part of Oxford's broader initiatives in KT. It will highlight the key role that people transfer can play in KT, and raise awareness of mechanisms outside the traditional spin-out and licensing models.
