Childhood determinants of risky sexual behaviour in adolescence: a prospective cohort study

This study willl identify childhood factors which influence an adolescents' likelihood to initiate sexual activity and a young age, and engage in sexual risk taking. The research team will use data from a large longitudinal study which has followed just under 3000 participants from birth until the age of 16- 17 years. Data has been collected, across physical, pyschological, developmental, social and environmental influences. Opportunities to reduce risky sexual behaviour will be identified.
