We aim to become a world-renowned wearable company in the healthy living sector, providing technology to support and motivate exercise/fitness in the public, including older adults. The World Health Organisation suggests that 25% of adults do not meet the recommended physical activity levels, increasing the likelihood of heart disease, stroke and diabetes by 20-30%. Thus, our system will be used as an accessible guidance tool for anyone suffering from low motivation and confidence levels when exercising. ur work will specialise in low back pain (LBP) in the first 2-3 years, given it is the commonest cause of pain and disability amongst older adults, with 20% of the UK population currently suffering. However, we aim to branch out into all chronic pain areas, including knee and hip pain, providing a solution for many pain conditions where exercise is recommended. Our system will be one of the first to provide accessible and affordable exercise motivation and guidance to all, with the aim of reducing the burden of multiple chronic conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes and obesity.
