My project is focused on advancing NMR methodology with a focus on translational work into the field of benchtop spectroscopy. This will involve combining and modifying existing NMR experiments in order to improve the information they can provide or so they can be applied to a benchtop spectrometer. This will be achieved through a combination of pulse programming and practical work testing and optimising each sequence while also applying the new experiments to various areas such as reaction monitoring, quantification of alcohol in alcoholic beverages, or characterisation of magnetically inhomogeneous samples.
