It is challenging to study the host galaxies of quasars as they outshine their hosts.However, using the spectra from gravitationally lensed quasars givesus an insight into the properties of the host galaxy.Analysing high signal to noise spectra, from the NTT and ESI, of newlyconfirmed gravitationally lensed quasars and their host galaxies will allow usto gain a better understanding of the host galaxy-super massive black holerelationship.
