Can restorative justice create a principle for and process of restorative climate justice applicable to adaptation needs of communities affected by deglaciation?This project will explore the specific issue of the human impacts of glacier shrinkage withinthe context of legal responses to climate change and the rich and developing tradition ofrestorative justice. Its interdisciplinary approach, combining law and criminology, sociologyand geography, is ground-breaking, having little or no precedent in past projects. It providesa unique and exciting opportunity to root conceptual development in a practical andparticipatory case study.
