writing 'new naturalistic' plays set in the North East and using observational research methods to write outside of my own life experience:I want to explore how I can write truthful, creative work about something I have not experienced myself. Iwill write two naturalistic plays, informed by my observational research with an older people's dancegroup: 'Falling on your Feet' and with Barnardo's charity shop volunteers. I aim to improve in 'The Art ofTrespassing'- writing outside of my own life experience. I will conduct my research in year one, and willwrite the plays in years two and three, so that I can reflect on my research when writing. My research willinform my work but will not dictate it.
