英文摘要
Globally, marine dissolved oxygen concentrations have been shown to be in decline. This partly due to the reduced solubility of oxygen in a warming ocean. However global climate models currently disagree in the rate of growth, severity and volume of low oxygen zones in the ocean; likely due to unresolved physical and biogeochemical processes. The aim of the project is to disentangle the physical oceanographic processes the are important for marine deoxygenation, particularly at the smaller scales not often considered in global climate and ocean models.
