The project proposal is supported by UKWIR as part of their Zero leakage 'Big Question'. The understanding and mitigation of the effects of transients in distribution systems that would be delivered by this project have been seen as a critical part of their pathway towards zero leakage water distribution systems. UKWIR will also facilitate the provision of additional pressure transient data from Northumbrian Water.
