The discursive landscape of Women Peace and Security and its impact on implementation

My research will unpack the impact of language in the creation and implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda exploring the vernacularisation of policy on gender, peace and security. I hope to understand who gets to shape the agenda through the creation and regulation of discursive terrains, where the WPS agenda is located, and how this location is stipulated through language. I intend to explore issues and gaps in implementation and how they are tied to language through an analysis of: the discursive terrains surrounding the topics of gender and sexuality and sexual and reproductive health rights in the two newest WPS resolutions; and, language of selected Member States and their National Action Plans
