英文摘要
S0 plays a crucial role in the natural geobiological cycle and human industry. The current production method remains to be advanced, yet the microbial process and organomineralization remain not fully understood. This study aims to reveal how environmental parameters and organics mediate S0 formation in both microbial processes and organomineralization, and use this knowledge to enhance the efficiency of targeted types of S0. Selected S0 can reduce time and economic costs for wastewater treatments; and produce batteries with higher power storage. The formation mechanism of lasting and stable organic membranes can facilitate geochemical studies of the sulfur cycle in early earth history. With the key proteins in the carbon membrane identified, the industry can produce conductive, stable protective carbon layers in large quantities as new material. Therefore, the proposed study has huge research value in earth sciences, biochemistry, wastewater treatment industry, and energy industry.
