Creating a labelled dataset places a cognitive demand on the user and the effort involved may be prohibitive given the size of the data. This is in relation to large data volumes, the long periods of concentration to label many images, difficulty around image interpretation, the repetitive nature of the process amongst other factors. Therefore, this project directly addresses the need of users by reducing the overall human-labelling workload required, and cognitive demand of any human-labelling that does take place. To reduce the labelling workload and cognitive load, we aim to build methodologies to automate as much of the labelling as possible and assist the labeller should manual labels be required.
