英文摘要
The aim of my proposed PhD is twofold: to (re)theorise collage as an embodied practice of Arts-Based Research, and to put this new conceptualisation of collage as a haptic methodology into practice. I will examine what this theoretical and practical intervention means for understandings of inclusion in pedagogical contexts, drawing on research into tactile illustration as an ostensibly inclusive practice for the vision-impaired community in the process. My research questions are: 1. How can collage be (re)theorised in practice as an embodied research method? 2. How can the practices of collage and tactile illustration speak to one another within this re)theorisation? 3. What are the repercussions of such an embodied Arts-Based Research practice for ideas of inclusion? In answering these questions, I will explore the potential of embodied Arts-Based Research as a way of finding and generating knowledge through haptic engagement.
