英文摘要
Hypothesisthe severity of AGD is associated with the complex relationship between Neoparamoeba and its bacteria and in particular, the influence of the intracellular (and most abundant) Vibrio species, a pathogen itselfAimto understand whether the N. perurans microbiome influences host-pathogen interactionsThis will be done by verifying that Vibrio species are associated with N. perurans, through the analysis of multiple isolates and detect them from the surrounding environments. This data will lead to the creation of a map, linking presence of bacteria to presence of N. perurans where the results should lead to the development of hypothesis - Vibrio species can be sentinels of AGD outbreaks, along with other parameters e.g. seasonality, water temperature. Also, it is planned to test the presence of vibrio on perurans disease challenges using the in-gill monolayer system, to investigate Vibrio presence on disease severity and virulence factors of N.perurans.
