英文摘要
My research on divine wrath, abandonment, and reconciliation in Mesopotamian prayers and righteous sufferer poetry addresses the following research questions: How are these notions poetically expressed in Mesopotamian prayers and righteous sufferer poetry and also in other Semitic texts, namely in the Hebrew Bible? Is the use of these conceptions and their poetic expressions similar or different across various textual genres and why? What do these conceptions indicate in terms of the Mesopotamian and Hebrew understanding of the relationship between the divine and human spheres? What is the relationship between the different poetic features of divine wrath, abandonment, and reconciliation across different Semitic contexts?
