英文摘要
Key Objectives - To understand how digital technology can support patients with eczema (self-management) and how representation can improve their understanding of the condition to be able to take control of it. Research question - Whether digital technology can support patients in self-managing eczema? Are there any gaps in the available digital tools that could be filled? (Understanding patient needs and potentially developing a new tool. Do patients understand their condition (eczema) and if not, would using tools to represent their condition help them better understand it and empower them to manage it? Do patients perceive eczema as a disability? If so, do they have support available from government bodies? If not, how can we inform policy makers to change their stance on what constitutes a disability? Precision medicine, such as supporting patients with a virtual representation tool (digital twin) to better engage with their condition and care. There is also a need for validated and regulated interactive digital tools for eczema self-management.
