Aeroelastic fluid interactions are responsible for creating a range of excitation phenomena that can have detrimental impacts upon rotordynamic structures. The most common source of vibration in low flow speeds is dynamic stall, which occurs due to an increase in the angle of attack of the incoming flow. This stall causes flow separation and vortex shedding that induces a vibration response on the structure, this response causes fatigue damage to structures and reduces the service life of components. Previous studies (Elmadih) identify the use of lattice structures embedded into materials using Additive Manufacturing (AM) as a method of attenuating these vibrations, this proposal outlines a methodology for testing the effectiveness of material lattice structures using theoretical, computational and experimental means.
