The project will focus on the theoretical and experimental understanding of barocaloric materials, falling under the EPSRC's interest in Materials for Energy Applications. The aim is to develop techniques to be able to understand and predict thermal properties of barocaloric materials. This is a highly relevant research area with the needs to move towards greener technologies for heating and cooling.
