Foundations of Quantum Theory

This project will investigate connections between three topics currently researched in the foundations of quantum theory: "superobservers" (also known as extended Wigner's friend scenarios), quantum causal models (especially those with indefinite causal order), and generalised probabilistic theories. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of measurements and causality in quantum theory, as well as to explore what constraints this understanding might impose on any successor to quantum theory.
