The research will focus on developing intelligent recommender platforms for smart and sustainable scheduling and supply chain operation.This will include developing RL frameworks which are designed to address supply chains and production scheduling in the chemical industry, including a focus on adaptability for complex, dynamically interacting, uncertain systems, human-machine interaction and target a number of simultaneous goals including financial and environmental ones. The proposed research further aims to digitalise supply chains by developing state-of-the-art technology-driven supply chains and scheduling methods to improve competitiveness in the chemical sector.
