The general milestones of this project will be:1. Integration of the large-scale end-to-end cell and gene therapy supply chain including plasmid DNA, viral vectors and cell therapies. This will be done by, firstly, building the multi-period supply chain optimisation problem for plasmid DNA. The next step is to integrate the optimisation models for plasmid DNA, viral vectors and cell therapies in a single-leader-multiple-follower supply chain model (game theory) (1st year).2. Solution methodologies for the final end-to-end cell and gene therapy supply chain based on decomposition techniques, such as matheuristics, metaheuristics and artificial intelligence (1st and 2nd year).3. Real-time online (closed loop) optimisation for the cell and gene therapy supply chain where optimisation events respond to system disturbances such as product failure and criticality of the patient condition (2nd and 3rd year).4. Assess the transferability of the proposed framework to other supply chains (e.g energy) (3rd year).
